Twenty years ago, if you told me my entire music library would fit in the palm of my hand or that I could make phone calls, read the paper, send mail or determine my location from an object the size of a credit card – I would’ve said, “Dream on.” Luckily for us, someone did. Yesterday’s science fiction is today’s science fact. “Discovery” is designed to showcase breakthroughs in science and technology as well as the strange and unusual ideas and events that are driving the worlds of science and mysticism to find common ground.
Sometimes you have to look back to look forward, which is why I am including “Ancient Archeology” in this section. Finds like Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, have stunned archeologists, who are now being forced to reevaluate all their assumptions about primitive cultures: who they were, what they knew and what kind of lives they led.
